New Appointments
The Bishop is pleased to announce the following appointments:
The Reverend Daebin Im Moses as Priest-in-Charge for the Parish of Holy Cross, Vancouver, effective December 1st, 2011. Given some immigration details, it likely that Fr. Im and his family will arrive in Vancouver from Korea sometime in early January 2012.The Reverend Janice Lowell most recently Assistant Priest at Holy Trinity, White Rock begins her new ministry as Associate Priest at St. Francis-in-the-Wood, Caulfeild and Priest-in-Charge of St. Monica’s, Horseshoe Bay on November 1st, 2011.The Reverend Lynne McNaughton (now the Venerable Lynne McNaughton) currently Incumbent of St. Clement’s, Lynn Valley and Priest-in-Charge of St. Clare-in-the-Cove, Deep Cove as Archdeacon of Capilano.Please keep these newly appointed clergy and their communities in your prayers.
Farewell Roger
The Reverend Roger Cooper currently Incumbent at St. George’s, Maple Ridge has accepted the position of Rector of St. George’s Westbank in West Kelowna, BC, Diocese of Kootenay. Roger has been a great asset to ministry in the Diocese of New Westminster for many years and his congregation and the diocese will certainly miss his enthusiastic presence. Roger begins his new ministry, January 1st, 2012.
Roger has a personal tradition of acquiring a new tattoo to mark the milestones in his ministry so we hope that he will let us know what the next one is going to be.
