Bishop Michael Ingham and Elizabeth Northcott of All Saint’s, Ladner, in Delta

Two choirs, and a vibrant congregation packed All Saints Anglican Church in Ladner on Wednesday to welcome the Reverend Elizabeth Northcott, as the new rector. The Right Reverend Michael Ingham, Bishop of New Westminster presided at the service.

Elizabeth spent ten years as Associate Priest at St Mary's Anglican Church in Kerrisdale. At the service she was supported by the presence of many members of St Mary's congregation as well as their choir, and the Rector, the Reverend Kevin Dixon, who preached the sermon. In addition community members and representatives from other churches helped to make this a most joyful occasion.

"I was moved by the whole service," said Peter Bayley, a warden at the church. "It had such energy and enthusiasm, and Elizabeth was so clearly loved by those she has left at St. Mary's that it bodes well for the future of All Saints."
