This past Thanksgiving Weekend, almost a hundred youth and youth leaders from across the Province gathered in Penticton for the British Columbia and Yukon Anglican Youth Movement's 2011 Fall Conference. There, they were astounded by scripture through the teaching and sharing of Fr. Bill Cliff from Huron College in Ontario. They also took part in an Amazing Race around the streets of Penticton, and took part in service projects on behalf of the host parish of St. Saviour's.
There were over thirty participants from the Diocese of New Wesminster, from Squamish to Chilliwack, who met new and old friends from the Dioceses of BC, Kootney and the Anglican Parishes of the Central Interior. The BCYAYM Council, which organised the conference and provided leadership, has several youth from the diocese serving on it. Worship for the weekend was guided by Rev. David Taylor from St. Mary's Kerrisdale alongside Fr. Bill (who is known across the Anglican Church of Canada as one of the Three Cantors). This video comes from the final worship and empowerment service at the end of the weekend. The next BCYAYM Conference takes place at Thanksigiving 2012 in Merritt.
The video was filmed by Su McLeod from the Diocese of British Columbia.
