The Third Annual Installation of New Members to the Order of the Diocese of New Westminster will take place at Christ Church Cathedral, Sunday, November 6th, 2011 at 4pm. The Rt. Rev. Sue Moxley, Diocesan Bishop, Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island will be the guest preacher.
The December or January (depending of deadlines) issue of Topic will contain the citations and a report on the liturgy at Christ Church Cathedral (Parking Pass). The presentation of these awards is a time to celebrate the gifts and ministries of outstanding individuals and it is a time when family members and friends of the recipients are encouraged to attend and participate.
Based on the highly successful Order of Niagara in Eastern Canada, the ODNW was created and approved by Diocesan Council, December 12th, 2006 to honour “those members of the laity in the diocese who have given outstanding service over a significant period of time in their volunteer ministry.” The essence of this award is to express the deepest thanks of the whole diocese to individuals whose personal ministry in whatever parish or over the whole diocese has been exemplary.
