Regional Ecumenical Support Team (REST)
The North Vancouver Regional Ecumenical Support Team (REST) is a partnership of 10 churches and individuals who have come together to support the sponsorship of refugees. The group operates in close cooperation with the Anglican Diocese of New Westminster.
January 16: Pub Night! North Vancouver Legion community room, 123 West 15th Street, 6:30pm. Tickets $25 each from St. Agnes Church Office (Call 604-987-0432), includes pizza, a drink and live music by Original Blend Jazz Band. Silent Auction, 50:50 and raffle prizes. All proceeds to R.E.S.T. refugee fund.
January 22: Gloria Dei Rockin' for Refugees - Live music, snacks, and dancing! Tickets $15 including appies. Drinks for sale (beer, wine, pop). Fundraiser during the evening "Live in Vancouver" - action event to "purchase" items for the family. Come in '60s costume, win a prize! At Gloria Dei Church, 1110 Gladwin Drive, North Vancouver

January 30: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
This is an inter-church event where diners and hosts will be secretly matched to have a wonderful meal together and make new friends! Diners pay $25 for their three course meal. Alcohol is not provided. Fun, good food, and new friends are the goals of this evening. Deadline to volunteer as a host is January 8.
