The Rev. Robert (Bob) Wild has died. He was ordained in Ontario and served in farming communities. He went on to serve as Diocesan Secretary Treasurer and traveling missionary with the Synod Office in Saskatoon and later Anglican Chaplain at the University of Saskatchewan. In 1969 he returned to parish work at St. Francis-in-the-Wood in West Vancouver. During his ten years at St. Francis-in-the-Wood he also completed a Master’s Degree in Theology from Trinity College, Toronto. He retired to Salt Spring Island in 1989 where he was a founding member of the Salt Spring Documentary Film Festival and led retreats and spoke at conferences.
Bob was predeceased by his wife Audrey by 10 days. A joint service is planned for both Bob and his wife on Saturday, May 3 at All Saints, Salt Spring Island. Time to be confirmed.
