We are pleased to share that the Bishop has appointed a new Archives Administrator to manage the diocesan and provincial archives housed at the synod office.
Charlotte Leonard will join the synod staff September 3. As a result, the archives will be able to reopen in September, three days a week. Charlotte comes to us very highly recommended with a background in archives administration in a variety of organizational settings.
She holds a Masters in Archival Studies and a Masters in Library and Information Studies
from the University of British Columbia, as well as a BA in English Literature from Concordia University, Montreal. She has worked in academic librarianship, dance archives, and as a consultant in personal and corporate archives. She is passionate about supporting organizations with strong purpose and
meaning, grassroots archiving, and facilitating access to information – even if it is stored on old,
obsolete media. In her spare time she enjoys reading, dancing, walking in nature, and spending
time with family. She is honoured to serve both those within the community and beyond to find
the information they are seeking.
Welcome Charlotte!
