Dominique Evans, 9, cried when she saw the pictures on TV showing how Hurricane Katrina affected both adults and kids. Her mother suggested she find something positive to do.
She made a poster and took her coffee can to the St. John’s, Port Moody, parish picnic September 11 and collected more than $120 which has been sent to the Primates World Relief and Development Fund.
Her poster reads “Donations for the Children - Hurricane Katrina Relief.”
