Kevin Zakresky, DMA, Director of Music at St. Titus, Oakridge announced via Facebook on April 25 that he has been chosen as the Director of the Choral Music Program at Capilano University beginning September 2022.
Dr. Zakresky's current credits include: teaching singing at the Vancouver Symphony School of Music, touring the world as a conductor for the National Geographic Symphony, Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses, Heroes Symphony; directing the Vancouver Woman's Chorus and his current and ongoing role as Director of Music at St. Titus. He is also known for faciliating a broad range of choral music workshops and learning sessions. Past credits include: teaching positions at SFU and Douglas College, Assistant Conductor of Chor Leoni Men’s Choir, Director of the Pacifica Singers, and Conductor of the Prince George Symphony Orchestra.
He received his Doctorate from Yale University in 2012.
