Sunday May 19 was busy at St. Thomas, Chilliwack. Besides Pentecost Sunday celebrations, eight children were baptized. Four them were able to repeat the baptismal promises for themselves.
Little Maryeh backed out at first, and hung back as all the others were baptized. When she heard everyone singing "This Little Light of Mine" and candles were given along with beautiful plaques inscribed with the spiritual meaning of their names, Maryeh said to her Mom, "I'd like to be baptized. " We were all thrilled. We knew she was shy. And then we were able just for Maryeh to find one more verse of “This Little Light of Mine.”Image: The Revered John Sovereign, Maryeh and the Rev.
