On Friday evening, December 2nd, the Archdeacon of Burrard and Priest Associate of Christ Church Cathedral, the Venerable Dr. Ellen Clark-King welcomed a large group of friends to the Cathedral’s chancel for the official launch of her second book, the path to you door – Approaches to Christian Spirituality.
The evening began with Ellen reading some excerpts from the book and then she opened the floor to questions from the guests. Following a very interesting discussion that focused mostly on Ellen’s process and her personal journey in writing the book, Cathedral staffers, Kathy Irwin and Vincent Carey opened up shop and a long line of folks anxious to purchase the book formed. Ellen positioned herself at a table and purchasers were invited to have Ellen personalize their copies. While Ellen signed, Cathedral volunteers circulated serving sparkling wine and sweet and savoury snacks.
Ellen informed those in attendance that the profits from the sale of her book would go to assist the mission and ministry of Christ Church Cathedral.
