The original lighting in the All Saints, Agassiz’ sanctuary dated back to circa 1910. The hall was built in 1952, so it was all in need of modernization. Recently, the parish installed a highly energy-efficient interior and exterior lighting system. With the new lighting, current consumption uses 50% less power to illuminate the church and hall than was needed at the beginning of March with the brightness being increased by 100%. The new LED bulbs last about twenty years which is ideal for high church ceilings where maintenance and bulb-changing is difficult. B.C. Hydro have a great deal in effect until mid-May! Anyone changing from incandescent lighting to LED’s will receive a 40% rebate towards the new conversion. This percentage will change to 10% after mid-May.
