Reception Into the Anglican Communion

On Tuesday, November 29, Bishop John Stephens received the Reverend James Hwang into the Anglican Communion from the Roman Catholic Church. The Reception took place during the weekday Eucharist at the Synod Office. Joining Synod staff members for worship were several clergy from the diocese so the weekly Eucharist was moved from the The Chapel of the Presentation of Our Lord to the Conference Room. Father James will have his Orders Recognized by the Bishop at a liturgy on Saturday, December 3 (Commemoration of Francis Xavier) at 10:30am at St John's, Shaughnessy.

Father James has been appointed Assistant Curate at St John, Shaughnessy effective 
December 1, 2022.
