Provincial Council of the Ecclesiastical Province of BC/Yukon met on February 5 via Zoom for the first time since the Provincial Synod. We dedicated intentional time to reflection and relationship building as we embarked on our work together.

The business of the meeting was also focused on transition;

  • longtime treasurer Vera Morgan stepped down,
  • a new working group was struck to assess the provincial canons, and of course,
  • a new budget was approved.  

Council also heard from the Social Eco Justice Working Group, which is organizing a series of pilgrimages for the Season of Creation this September.

The Province is organizing a retreat in May at the Sorrento Centre for Clergy Resilience. Further details may be found here.
