Many thanks to Michael Kalmuk of St. Margaret's, Cedar Cottage who is coordinating "PROUD ANGLICANS" our diocesan participation in the annual Pride Parade.
On July 11th he is attending the meeting required for all Pride Parade entries. The entry is confirmed although he will not know details of the entry number or line-up location until this date. This event posting will be updated with more information and will also be distributed in the July 18 Parish Mail.
- There will be an 8am service and breakfast at Christ Church Cathedral before the parade
- Parish members are invited to bring their parish banners
- There will be one vehicle that could carry two or three people who cannot walk the parade but space is limited
- 11am diocesan participants will gather somewhere near to Robson and Thurlow (expected formation area)
- 12noon the parade begins
-
From 3pm to 5pm, St. Paul’s will be hosting a hospitality stand in the church lawn (Jervis Street) to give away iced drinks (Pride Day High Iced Tea) to the marchers/participants of the Pride Parade and passers-by. So, be sure to pass by St. Paul’s Anglican Church (1130 Jervis Street) after the parade. If the weather does not cooperate, we’ll be welcoming everyone inside the church for a cup of good cheer.
