Folks at St. John the Apostle, Port Moody welcomed the Diocesan Missioner for Indigenous Justice, Kerry Baisley, ODNW and his assistant (and photographer) Brian Shieh as they shared the craft of "felting a heart" on Saturday, May 7, 2022. This was the latest in a number of such visits to diocesan parishes in the last year to create hearts which will hang from the soon to be in final construction Wheel of the Four Directions located at the Synod Office, 1410 Nanton Avenue in Vancouver's Shaughnessy neighbourhood. The creation of the "Wheel" is a response to the May 27, 2021 discovery of 215 graves in Kamloops. It is being constructed under Kerry's supervision to honour the children in gravesites found all across Canada.
