The Rev. John Stephens and Sarah Nairn of St. Philip’s with a new window dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Nairn’s husband, K. Roger Nairn |
Illuminating the narthex as people enter St. Philip's in Vancouver is "The Light of the World," a stained glass light box based on W. Holman Hunt's famous 1855 painting, and rendered by the Toronto studio of McCausland, Ltd.
Examining it are the Rev. John Stephens, rector, who dedicated the window Dec. 11, and Sarah Nairn, who donated it as a memorial to her late husband, K. Roger Nairn, a former parishioner, RCAF flying officer and shipbuilder, who loved the image and hung it in his office.
