Easter brings with it the promise and hope for a new beginning, a new life. The Coming Home Society (supported by Stewards in Action) sponsors the Young Wolves Lodge, a safe place where young Aboriginal women live and work hard to turn their lives around.

The young women, some of them mothers or becoming mothers, are learning to overcome the legacy of abandonment, abuse and despair in their lives. They are open to becoming productive members of the community and to becoming parents who can offer their children hope and a new life.

The Lodge coordinator has put together a list of needed items.

What's needed by the Coming Home Society

For practicing healthy life skills:

  • Women's bikes
  • Roller blades
  • Balls

Art supplies for cultural topics:

  • Journals & binders (both large and small)
  • Drawing paper, felt pens & paints
  • Beads

Clothes for the new life:

  • Maternity or large clothing for pregnant women
  • Rubber soled slippers size 6 _ 10 ladies
  • Women's sweat pants, T-shirts

Grooming aids:

  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Bubble bath & soap
  • Toothbrushes
