This staff leadership position is in collaboration with the Bishop, Diocesan staff and Diocesan leadership, focussing, leading and overseeing the articulation of Mission and Ministry priorities and the initiatives related to those priorities (to include learning, teaching, diocesan programs, diocesan-wide events, and interventions in parishes).
The Director carries out Mission and Ministry priorities through the Mission and Ministry Development Committee and through other groups and teams as needed.
The Director endevours to equip parish and diocesan leaders in learning about and engaging in the work of parish development (liturgy and prayer, Christian formation, stewardship, evangelism, community building, service, etc.), bringing new learning and skill to the effort.
The Director supervises the Parish Development Staff Team including those responsible for Children and Youth Ministries, Stewardship, Parish Consultations and the Diocesan School for Parish Development.
The Director oversees the work of Diocesan Units and facilitate the relationship between the Diocese and care+share recipients, Related Groups, and other partners.
