The Second Anniversary of Bishop Skelton's Consecration

It was two years ago on St. David's Day, March 1st, 2014, that the Reverend Canon Melissa Skelton of the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia in The Episcopal Church (TEC) was ordained bishop at the Vancouver Convention Centre and later installed as the Right Reverend Melissa M Skelton, 9th Bishop of the Diocese of New Westminster at Christ Church Cathedral.

Congratulations to Bishop Skelton, the clergy and lay of the Diocese of New Westminster for these two years of shared ministry.

Diocesan communications received an email from Bishop Skelton in the late afternoon of February 29 saying that she had arrived in the Philippines to begin her visit to the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Philippines that will conclude on March 8. She will return March 9.
