On a bright, sunny and warm late spring Tuesday, June 9th, 2015, the Anglican Archives furniture and shelving that has been in storage at St. Mary's, Kerrisdale since the week of February 24th, 2015, was transported to its new home in the lower level of 1410 Nanton Avenue.
Anglican Archivist, Melanie Delva who is also the archivist for the Eccelesiastical Province of BC/Yukon was on site to supervise the unloading and positioning of the furnishings. Melanie took some photographs and was quick to share them with diocesan communications.
In the three photos posted we see: the truck being loaded; the careful transportation of a desk that belonged to Archishop David Somerville and a portion of the archives space already beginning to look like "home."
The Archives collection will be transported from a government storage facility in Burnaby June 15-16.
