St. Clement's is thrilled to invite all comers to enjoy browsing through a range of styles and subjects in the church's first Community Art Auction. Thanks to the generosity of local artists and donors, 20 pieces of art (19 paintings plus one mandala stone!) are available to view and bid on online at this website.
Even better, the pieces are on display at St. Clement's church; if you aren't there on a Sunday morning, please come to our Community Art Open House on Saturday, November 20 from 2 to 4 p.m., where you can enjoy some refreshments while perusing the art in all its variation. Please share this post and invitation widely with your friends and other social networks.
All proceeds from the auction will go towards improving the accessibility and utility of our building and grounds for the wider Lynn Valley community. Sharing our building and grounds with community users and neighbours is a significant part of our mission to “WELCOME! SUPPORT! INSPIRE! SERVE!”
Bidding for the items will close on November 27 at 8pm. If you find a "must-have" piece of art and are worried about being "pipped at the post," a proxy bid can help you avoid being outbid at the last moment. When you submit a proxy bid, you authorize the auction system to keep placing bids on your behalf, in minimum increments, up until a maximum threshold you have stipulated. For a more detailed description of how proxy bidding works, please click here.
If you are unable to submit a bid online, please be in contact with Maddy Walter or Sandra Martin for assistance.
Whether you prefer your art acrylic or watercolour, meditative or merry, we think you'll find something to catch your eye and capture your imagination. And whether or not you intend to bid, we invite you to view the wonderful range pieces online or in person; you can click on the item to read about the artist and the vision they brought to their artistic creation.
St. Clement's is located at 3400 Institute Rd., North Vancouver.
