Advent calendars have taken on a new meaning in today's world. They've become new ways to consume things we might not really need but didn't know we wanted.
This year, what about an Advent Journey instead of a traditional calendar? What about a journey focused on taking a few minutes each day to pause, reflect, and even make new traditions?
I've put together this Advent resource designed to give children, youth and families a moment, each day, to take stock, think about what is at the heart of Advent and Christmas, but keep the fun. While it was designed for children, youth and their families, anyone of any age can use this Advent resource. There is a graphic that gives you an overview of the journey. You'll find that graphic above and as a downloadable file below. Each day directs you to read a specific section of the accompanying booklet. You'll find that booklet at the bottom of this page, as a pdf you can download.
Whether you're youth, or youth at heart, try it out and share your journey. You can follow DYM on Instagram @Diocesan_Youth_Movement and share photos using the hashtag: #DYMadventphotos. Have a blessed Advent Season.
