Three New Westminster parishes, St. Mary the Virgin, Sapperton, St. Barnabas and Holy Trinity Cathedral worshipped and celebrated the principal Sunday morning service together for the first time to mark this very special day in their combined history.
Holy Trinity Cathedral was the host parish and their hospitality was outstanding
.

The three parishes united to present a liturgy that was diverse, joyful and prayerful with all age groups well represented as readers and intercessors and an enthusiastic combined choir leading the music in worship.

Bishop Michael Ingham was both celebrant and preacher and was enthusiastically welcomed by the large congregation.

Following the service a delicious High Tea was served in the beautifully decorated Holy Trinity Parish Hall to the capacity crowd.
The Venerable John Bailey, Rector of Holy Trinity Cathedral was pleased with the large and enthusiastic attendance but more than that he was delighted that the three communities of faith had successfully worked together towards a common goal.
