After a year-long journey with Being a Good Ancestor, you are invited to join us for our closing celebration with food, sharing, and conversations around next steps for each of us in this journey of reconciliation. This is a free event and we are hoping that you can help us make it a sweet ending by bringing a dessert to share with others!
We are grateful to be hosted for this event at the Synod Offices of the Diocese of New Westminster (note that this is a change from our original plans!) If you participated in our cedar weaving workshop or drum making workshop, we invited you to bring your rattles and/or drum with you for the evening. Please also remember to bring your medicine packet that was handed out at the opening event last June, as we will be offering them into the fire at our closing.
These workshops and programs are subsidized by the Diocese of New Westminster, St. Faith’s Anglican Church, and St. Hildegard’s Sanctuary. We strive to make each program accessible and affordable for all who wish to participate–any program fees go directly to material costs and honorariums for the artists and elders.
