Shrove Tuesday at 1410 Nanton

Every year about this time each department of the Synod Office takes turns making the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast at 1410 Nanton Avenue. This year it was the unaligned staff members: archvist, Marche Riley; comms officer, Randy Murray, Director for Ministry and Mission Development the Reverend Tellison Glover (although Tellison's department will be growing in the near future); Amy Thorogood buildings caretaker.
This year the menu was buttermilk and blueberry buttermilk pancakes (Rose Murray's recipe quadrupled), sausages, bacon, fruit, syrups, orange and apple juice.
It was great to share breakfast with members of the St. John's, Shaughnessy staff and with newest Synod Office employee Jerry Adams who was on site for his first day as the pro-tem Indigenous Justice Coordinator. Jerry will cover whilst Brander Raven Macdonald remains on medical leave and he will remain to work on various programs and networking.
Here's wishing everyone a wonderful Mardi Gras, delicious pancakes and a blessed Lent.
