The rectory at St. James, Vancouver, is home to its first ever baby. Anastasia Naomi Lowenna Greenaway-Robbins, the daughter of mother Ruth and Father Mark, born June 17. The parents had to take her for a platelet transfusion and stay at BC Children's Hospital, but she is now back home and in good health.

Glen Mitchell, diocesan Director of Gift Planning, has been recertified as a "certified fund raising executive." This allows him to put the initials CFRE after his name, and assures others he raises funds in a professional and ethical manner.

Dean Peter Elliott in mid-July went on sabbatical, which will last till mid-November. Archdeacon Ellen Clark-King is priest-in-charge at Christ Church Cathedral. Bishop Michael Ingham again took several diocesan teenagers on a Taizé pilgrimage and then took his annual holiday in August. During much of the summer Archdeacon Louis Rivers served as the Bishop's Commissary (Acting Bishop) in consultation with Executive Archdeacon Ronald Harrison.

The Rev. Cathy Hall was presented with a stole decorated with handprints of children in St. John's, Port Moody, at a farewell celebration this summer. Rector at St. John's for the past seven years, she is moving to the Okanagan to become rector of St. Andrew's, Kelowna, in the Diocese of Kootenay.
