Being a parent can be described as the most important job you will ever do. It can also be a daunting and isolating task, especially in the 21st Century.

Parents Supporting Parents is a 6 week series of free parenting classes on Wednesday mornings starting Oct. 10 at St. Anselm’s Church in Point Grey. Learn to develop your parenting skills while you meet and build relationships with other parents and have fun. This is practical course for grandparents, parents and carers, developed by the world wide Mothers’ Union and run by trained facilitators.

St. Anselm's Church is located in the University Endowment Lands at 5210 University Avenue, approximately 1km. west of Blanca Street. Sessions are two hours in length. A light lunch will be served.

Topics include:

• meeting children’s emotional needs
• developing self esteem and the keys to positive relationships
• exploring communication
• developing trust and dealing with behavior issues
• keeping children safe
• health & nutrition
• teenagers- relationships, sex education
• children with special needs
