Francis of Assisi lived in 13th century Italy and was known for his work among the poor, although he also included all of nature in his ministry – preaching to birds and wolves, reminding them of God’s care for the entire creation. All of us—birds, pets, and people—are to thank and glorify our Creator. – Jeffrey Preiss, Communications and Community Engagement VST
