This event has already occurred
The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed how little some church buildings are used and accelerated discussion of how to steward these buildings and land in a better way. For some churches, building affordable housing provides one pathway to better utilize these physical resources and to address the growing affordability crisis in our cities across Canada. Building affordable housing can also be a piece of a plan leading to a renewed presence and purpose for a church in its neighborhood.
