The Hospital Chaplaincy Task Force (HCTF), appointed by the Mission and Ministry Development Commitee (MMD) of the Diocese of New Westminster extends this invitation to all those clergy and laity who have an interest in providing spiritual care to people in need.
The HCTF has two tasks. Members are to guage the level of interest across the diocese for this ministry in hospitals, seniors residences, extended care facilities, correctional facilities and other appropriate places where acute and residential care is given.
With an affirmation of interest, the second task of HCTF is to make recommendations to Diocesan Council through MMD how the chaplaincy ministry could be implemented.
