It was written by Marty Haugen in 1985-86 during a musical residency at Holden Village. This service marks the beginning of the Triduum, the three days leading up to Easter. During this service clergy wash the feet of congregants as a reminder of Jesus' call to us to serve one another. After the service, the altar is stripped and the Eucharist is taken to a side altar where we can keep vigil.
This youth event follows immediately after the Maundy Thursday service and will include interactive prayer stations, games, worship as well as youth-focused stations of the cross. In this event youth keep "the watch" and spend time together in prayer and fellowship to ready themselves for the Easter Triduum. Email Lauren for more information.
