Developing Ministries with Creativity, Innovation and

Entrepreneurship Missional Learning Cohort

"God's promise is for everyone, and so the church must blow open the power structures that have held so many of God's children captive.  Let this be our reformation." - Emily Scott

You are invited to join the Diocese of New Westminster’s 2018-2019 Missional Learning Cohort focused on developing ministries with creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. This is the first scheduled gatherin of the learning cohort, which will continue quarterly for the next year.

Facilitated by the Rev. Dr. Tellison Glover, the Rev. Marnie Peterson, and Andrew Stephens-Rennie, it will provide participants with an opportunity to gain theological, imaginative, and practical foundations for developing, sustaining and multiplying new ministries in their communities.

Looking around the diocese, there are countless opportunities for faith-fuelled, liberating ministry in our various communities. This cohort will provide you with an opportunity to connect with others discerning new ministries, to develop responsive tools to use in your neighbourhoods, and to connect you with resources, ideas, and coaching.

This cohort was developed in response to needs articulated by the over 40 people who attended the March 10 Learning Party facilitated by the Rev. Emily Scott, founding pastor of St. Lydia’s in the Gowanus neighbourhood of Brooklyn, New York City.

While participation in the Learning Party is not prerequisite, the first session builds from learnings there. If you desire to participate and did not attend the Learning Party, you will be provided with an activity to complete prior to participation in the cohort.

If you have any questions, please contact the Rev. Dr. Tellison Glover, Director of Mission and Ministry at tglover@vancouver.anglican.ca

There is no fee, however in order to plan for the event a registration/event page has been created. Please click this link to register.
