Singer, songwriter Cathy Aj Hardy is continuing her relationship with churches in the Diocese of New Westminster.
Her music and work in spirituality has taken her allover the Fraser Valley and the Greater Vancouver area especially with leading Contemplative Evenings of Sung Prayer. Her music has been strongly influenced by Brother Roger and the Community of Taize in France.
She's produced 5 albums, the fifth, 'And I Heard the Sound of Laughter', is just coming out right now. Cathy's music has received nominations for the Gospel Awards of Canada and many people have called it inspirational and healing for their souls.
This will be an evening of songs and stories regarding the songs of Taize and her own original music that has come out of her healing journey. This is a free event. More info
An ecumenical event that brings Catholic, Protestant and people of many traditions together for an evening of sung prayers in the style of Taize. Cathy has been given the honour of leading these evenings once a a year for the past 10 years. In the past 2 years, the seminarians from Christ the King have participated in singing with her, as well as one of the monks, Father Peter, who plays the harp with Cathy. With a team of varied musicians, an evening of great beauty through music is experienced. This is a free event. More info
Cathy is releasing a new album, "And I Heard the Sound of Laughter", and there will be a release concert on June 25th at St. Dunstans Anglican Church on 264 in Langley.
