The All Saints' Weekend activities, worship and events at St. James' have proven to be one of the highlights of the year for the diocese of New Westminster.

On Friday, October 30th, 11am - 12-30pm The Women's Guild Bargain Sale is an hour-and-a-half in bargain sale heaven. Books, clothes, housewares, shoes, dishes, and more. Great value!

Saturday, October 31st, it's Open House from 12-4pm. This is an opportunity to visit the church and learn its history. At 12 noon the Kwil Gibaygum Nisga'a dancers perform. Next director of music and organist, Gerald Harder presents a demonstration of the Casavant Organ followed by a guided tour of the church by All Duncan. The tour includes a presentation on St. James' Outreach work. To top the day off there will be a dramatic reading from Dorothy L. Sayers radio play The Man Born to Be King.

Sunday, November 1st at 10:30am is the All Saints' Day Solemn High Mass & Procession celebrating the Saints of Christendom with pageantry and ritual. For those not used to high church liturgy this is a chance to bathe the senses. The St. James' choir will lead the music in worship with Palestrina's Missa aeterna Christi munera and Willan's O King all glorious.

Monday, November 2nd is the All Soul's Day High Mass at 6;30pm. This will feature the St. James' choir singing Tomás Luis de Victoria's setting of the Requiem Mass, with special devotions for the faithful departed.
